Tree Farm Certification

Tree Farm Certification meets international, third party standards of sustainable forest management may provide greater access to markets and may help meet growing demand for certified forest products.

REQUIREMENTS FOR CERTIFICATION:

Minimum of ten acres forestland with a written Tree Farm management plan or Forest Stewardship Plan and Tree Farm Inspection.

CERTIFICATION PROCESS:

Complete the application for SC Tree Farm Membership with dues based on acreage.
Create a Tree Farm Management Plan using tools and guidance from SC Tree Farm.
A qualified Tree Farm Inspecting Forester will confirm that standards and requirements are being met and assist with the certification process.
Upon approval, receive completed certification.
